It's Holy Week in the Philippines

We Went to Church for Palm Sunday

Philippines Online Journal on Ulitzer

Hello everybody! It is now Holy Week here in the Philippines. Many stores and malls will be closed this week. No shopping waaa lol.

We went to church yesterday at Santa Maria in Balibago in Angeles City. It was very hot, and some girl looked like she was dying there. Her family took her away in a trike. I hope she is OK.

I bought palm leaves from the coconut tree. It was 60 pesos for three leaves, wow mahal! (expensive). But that's OK. This is the week we worship Jesus and God and our salvation.

The church has new aircon so it was very nice in there. We got holy water on our palm leaves. There were so many people there, many of us were standing the whole time.

Then we left and went to the Robinson's Mall for awhile. I needed a new mirror. I found a nice mirror and then brought it home on the Jeep. It was so big, but not too many people on Jeep so OK lang.

We put the palm leaves in our apartment so that we are safe now. I will get up 4am on Good Friday to do pasyon. Then on Easter Sunday we will go to early mass. I hope we then will have a big fiesta later that day!
