Service Level Agreements (SLAs) offered and guaranteed by cloud service providers is one of the top criteria for cloud computing adoption by enterprises. Availability of needed resources (elasticity) and performance delivered by those resources is key for enabling higher and enterprise-grade SLAs. I/O performance plays a key role in delivering application level elasticity and performance.

In his session at the 7th International Cloud Expo, John Monson, VP of Marketing at Mellanox Technologies, looks at elasticity and performance and economic constraints faced today and proposes high performance I/O solutions for solving those constraints and improving ROI significantly for cloud service providers.
